Links made on the free plan last two weeks from the day the pack was made. Once one lapses it cannot be brought back — the record is deleted, and a new link has to be sent. The pack itself is untouched on the sender's phone, so nothing has been lost except the address.
Adding a pack skips anyone already saved on your phone, matched on their phone number, or their email address when they have no number. Two cards for one person usually means the two records had no detail in common — a work line on one and a mobile on the other.
Contact Pack needs contacts access to build a pack and to check for duplicates when you add one. If it was refused, iOS will not ask again: turn it on in Settings, under Contact Pack.
They are encrypted on the sender's phone before being uploaded, and the key travels in the link rather than to us. We hold a block of scrambled data we cannot open. The privacy policy explains exactly what is and is not stored.
